Budureasca Premium Feteasca Neagra 2013

VINEYARD NOTES: Budureasca Premium is a collection of dry wines which have been specially crafted for wine connoisseurs to be consumed in association with food or on special occasions. The wines are a fusion of Old World and New World styles to bring out the best characteristics of each wine and to show their true varietal characters bringing out their personality, complexity and finesse. All Budureasca Premium wines are aged in oak barrels. After bottling, the wines are aged in the bottle for at least 4 months. These wines have already won international acclaim, confirming their high quality.

VINTAGE REPORT: This 2013 Feteasca Neagra is made from vines which are over 30 years old. The grapes are only picked when they have reached their full maturity.The grapes are fermented for 8 to 12 day at a maximum temperature of 29°C to extract its intense colour. 40% of the wine is placed in oak barrels for up to 6 months after which it is blended.

SERVING:16-18˚C. An excellent wine for pork, cabbage rolls and stew, lamb pastrami, pasta in red sauces and mushrooms, large vegetables and mature cheeses. Aging potential: delicious now through its youth and exuberance, it will beautifully settle through careful bottle storage over the next 5-7 years.

ANALYSIS: Alc=14%; Dry – 2,51 g/l; Total acidity (g/l in tartric acid) – 5,1.

VARIETY: 100% Feteasca Neagra

TASTING NOTES: Dark purple in colour with a mixture of spice and black forest fruits. Complex flavours of fruit and spice with soft tannins give this wine its lovely velvety finish.
