Vineyards: 20 ha in the Valul lui Traian wine region, Romanovca village
Soil: Limestone textured carbonate chernozem.
Vinification: Grapes are harvested by hand and the alcoholic fermentation takes place for 20 days in large oak vats. Only indigenous yeasts are used. This allows a maximum enrichment of the wine, and also ensure a strong and well balanced body and color.
Refining: After the malolactic fermentation, decanting and aging in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
Tasting Notes:
Color: intense dark purple to black color, with violet hues.
Aroma: The wine offers notes of cherry, rich and complex. Dark fruits and dry plums flavor, completed by shades of chocolate.
Taste: the wine has notes of pepper, cloves and dark fruits with a well tempered astringency, rich tannins and a pre-long fine post-taste.The finish has bold and chewy tannins with fruit yielding to leather.
